Disrupted Supply Chains
Europe faces a number of economic, environmental and social challenges, most notably the crisis in Ukraine, which has seen businesses severely impacted by supply chain disruptions. To meet these challenges, the European Union (EU) has launched various measures to strengthen the resilience of the single market and support a sustainable, digital and globally competitive economy.
Participants of InnoTrans Business Days will have the opportunity to address their supply chain-related challenges or offer their solutions in a particular matchmaking session dedicated to supply chains.
In addition, the Enterprise Europe Network has set up the "Supply Chain Resilience" platform to address supply chain-related challenges. It helps companies maintain, restructure or replace existing supply chains and procure raw materials, parts, components and/or (semi) finished goods or services needed to keep production running.
In order to find alternative solutions for exporting agricultural products from Ukraine (due to the blockade of Ukrainian seaports), the EU-Ukraine Business Matchmaking Platform was launched to bring together EU and Ukrainian companies to find pragmatic export solutions for agricultural products.
The "EU Clusters Support Ukraine Forum" was set up for humanitarian aid and support. In this forum, information can be exchanged, offers of help can be registered, cooperations can be proposed and help can be requested to facilitate the procurement and delivery of urgently needed products. This includes food, hygiene items, medicines, as well as personal equipment to ensure survivability in war and refugee conditions, including shelter, clothing and bedding.
